Those embed mods should work just fine, but about 2FA it might require a new template, no idea about Gdpr, I'm not familiar with the code of that mod.

I'm glad you were able to resolve it! Good call about upgrading, there have been indeed releases since 2015 with more features and plenty of bugs being fixed
